An Afterthought

Silent yet persistent, life flows by.

I sit on the shore- waiting, watching, wishing-

To catch glimpse of a starfish or a dolphin.

Maybe I should sail a boat instead;

Or better, jump right in,

and encounter whatever comes my way.
